I welcome you to St. Mark’s Church in Riverside, Rhode Island, and to our web page.  Today, many people are searching for a church community where they can be in relationship with God and others in their spiritual journey of faith.  The members of our parish are a welcoming community committed to worship through the Ministry of Word and Sacrament, and offering praise and thanksgiving to God for all that we have received.

We are structured around a commission system that encourages every member to participate in a ministry suited to their gifts and talents.  Commissions include worship, education, children and youth, pastoral care, outreach, finance and stewardship, property and communication.  Meetings are held periodically to coordinate and inform everyone about the life, worship and ministry of St. Mark’s Church.

We value pastoral care and support of all people, respecting the dignity of every human being.  We do this in several ways: through our lay Eucharistic ministers and visitors;  by providing programs of support for our senior citizens and our children and families, and for all who come to us; by sponsoring social events, along with education and spiritual formation programs.  Our programs are designed to foster spiritual growth and to fulfill our commitment to meet the needs of others.

Our mission involves outreach.  We are always collecting food to feed the hungry, visiting and supporting those in assisted living or nursing residences, tutoring school children, hosting scouting programs, developing youth activities, and making crafts as we strive to serve the needs of many people in our parish and surrounding communities.

On Sunday mornings we invite you to participate with us for worship and Christian education.  We welcome you warmly and invite your participation in our life together.  Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome at the Table of the Lord
